The Whig Party originally formed in 2005 as The Killer Jellyfish, focusing on original music and progressive structures. The lineup currently consists of Ron Vreeland on vocals, guitar and songwriting; Steve Raguso on guitar; Chad Kesser on bass; Chris Zwarych on drums. The Whig Party focus on live composition: while there are song structures mapped out, the band never really plays the same song the same way. Instead , they focus on in-the-moment grooves and improvised movements. Here are some (very rough) rehearsal studio recordings of our recent jam sessions. Everything is recorded live into a Yamaha hard disk recorder; sometimes you will hear some digital clipping in the recordings, this is due to the sheer amount of volume that we rehearse at in our practice room!
